It’s very important to us to understand that users can use our AC Tourist application without restrictions. Therefore, we work with both device manufacturers and internally to make sure ARCore integrates seamlessly with every model we certified.
Below you can see all the devices that support the application.
Supported device models
At the moment, the program supports Android device emulators, devices on Android (Google Play), Android (China) and iOS.
Android device emulators
The application is supported by any x86 or x86_64 based AVD Google devices. However, Android 8.1 (API 27) or later is required. The rear-facing (world) camera is emulated with a virtual scene but the front-facing (selfie) camera is not supported.
Android (Google Play)
To deliver augmented reality (AR) experiences built with an ARCore SDK, Android devices must support ARCore through Google Play Services for AR. At the same time, the device must initially come with the Google Play Store and have the minimum Android version shown in the document below. In case the version is not specified, the device must be running Android 7.0 or later.
All Android devices supporting the AC Tourist app you can read here.
Since it’s not possible to download apps to devices through the Google Play Store in the China region, this feature may be available as a separate downloadable service from the Xiaomi app store, Huawei Apps Gallery, OPPO APP Market, Samsung Galaxy Apps, V-Appstore.
You can see a list of devices sold in China that support ARCore through Google Play Services for AR here.
Cloud Anchors, which allows app users to add virtual objects to an AR scene, is supported on all ARKit-compatible devices running iOS 11.0 or later. However, the Cloud Anchors SDK can be compiled for applications running iOS 9.0 or later.
Augmented Faces, which allows the app to automatically determine different areas of a detected face and use them to apply models and textures, is also supported on all ARKit-compatible devices running iOS 11.0 or later.
In this list, you can check out all iOS devices that are compatible with both Cloud Anchors and Augmented Face.
